Summer ends at dusk.

The earth, warmed by a roasting sun, lets out the first scents.

The ripe fruits, scattered here and there at the foot of the tree, abound with nectar and honey.

Oh twilight, you come to sound the end of this tender summer. The first shadows grow, chiaroscuro with this warm and burning earth.

I walk towards you without knowing where I'm going.

The dark night awaits me, and I leave the summer suns of my past.

But after the night comes the dawn...

So O you twilight, with the grandeur of your faint lights, you will be indebted to me.

I open my arms to you and let myself be flooded by your sweet wake,

forever.
